Javea
is located just 4kms from the accomodation.
The horseshoe shaped beach of the Arenal in Javea on the Costa Blanca in Spain features a safe, clean sandy beach in beautiful surroundings. The beach is in a bay between the Cabo San Martin and the Cabo San Antonio. Its limited size makes it a bit crowded in the months of July and August but nevertheless people come back year after year.
The Arenal beach in Javea is a perfect place for families. The sea is never rough and you can wade a long way until you get to the depth. During the summer months there are a lot of different beach activities available. Volleyball, climbing frames, pedaloes and water rafts.
Other water sports activities such as waterskiing or jet skiing are found a short walk from the Arenal towards the port to the Montaņar, a sandstone beach, just past the Parador. This area is less crowded in summer but if you go do not forget a sun bed. Not recommended for families as you jump right into deep waters.
The Arenal beach is cleaned every night making sure that you will encounter the beach spotless every morning. Red Cross volunteers and life guards are on place throughout the summer months.
In Javea´s port there are 2 pebble beaches. One in the port and the other at the end of the Marina. Normally these beaches are quiet because the regular tourist never bumps into them. There are bars and restaurants on the beach so you can make a day out of it.
Javea´s sailing club the Club Nautico is situated in the marina area which also offers boat rides to Denia and around the Cabo San Antonio.
The Javea Sub-Aqua Club offers lessons and escorted trips for scuba divers. Javea on the Costa Blanca in Spain with its clear water and warm climate is perfect for diving. You will be able to see sea urchins, giant clams, octopus and much more of the Mediterranean marine life.
South from Arenal beach along the coast road you will find 2 pebble beaches, Portitxol and Granadella, set in wonderful scenery and well worth seeing.

Moraira
4kms from your accomodation.
Nestled between Denia, Calpe and Altea, Moraira is a tranquil town on the Costa Blanca with an important active tourist community, both those living there all year round as well as those who are either just visiting it once or coming back every summer holiday.
This old fishing town with the Mediterranean Sea stretched out at its feet and a beautiful mountain range covering its back maintains an average temperature of about 18 degrees. Thanks to its tourism, this town has known how to mix all the necessary and modern services into its typical fishing port ambience. Proof of this is the magnificent fish auction that is held from Tuesday to Sunday in the Lonja (public exchange market) right in the port area.
The Province of Alicante where Javea and Moraira are found, are defined as having fine sandy beaches, rocky ones and mysterious coves. These are some of the choices that the 8 kilometres of shore with the Blue Flag of the European Community can also offer you in Moraira. Either on foot or with small boats, this long stretch of beach area has crystal clear waters, restaurants right on the beach, parking areas, Red Cross services and showers.
One nice cute cove with a lot of history is the one called the Portet. It was the place of shelter for Phoenician, Greek, Roman, Arab or privateer sailing or trading ships. Today its a well equipped zone for doing all kinds of nautical sports. And from there we can take a stroll to the watch out tower near the Cap d'Or ( the Golden Cape). This tower is on the most elevated part of the cape, overlooking the beach mentioned before. The Cova de les Cendres ( the Cendres Cove) is an Archaeological field from the Upper Palaeolithic times about 40 metres above sea level. In the near future there will be a museum near this cove with all the findings.
The castle of Moraira was built in 1742 and there is a shield from the Royal Borbon family over the door
